These three words were part of Wordmasters, a vocabulary and analogy challenge. There were three rounds, and in each round we received twenty-five words that we need to remember the definitions to. When it was time for the test, we would receive one for the definitions, and another with analogies, which was the most challenging. I was very proud of myself in each round for getting great results for the analogies. I improved on making connections and relationships between different words and also improved on creating different techniques on remembering definitions. Wordmasters was a step up from just memorizing vocabulary words, and I think it really gave me a great challenge to improve my skills.
For this group assignment, we needed to read a classic novel and create a number of projects. Our classic novel was The Scarlet Pimpernel. This book was fairly difficult to read because of the older English, but it was a very good book. Aside from the group project, I wrote a critical review about the book. I am very proud of this review because I think it showcases some of my best word choice and diction. I revised this paper many times to ensure that it sounded the way I liked and that it included all the details I wanted from the book. Along with the review, I also created an email account for the main character of the book, and needed to write email exchanges between her and other characters in the book who she was likely to speak to. I am proud of this assignment because I think I was able to capture the time period very well through the type of language the characters used to speak with each other. Both of these assignments display my language ability and writing skills.

For my research paper, I wrote about assisted suicide. The process of writing this paper was both fun and extremely frustrating. I was extremely proud with the outcome of the paper. When people read this, I hope they see the time and energy I had put into writing a great paper. Before writing this paper, I didn't know much about assisted sucide, but I knew I had a strong opinion about it. As the research process continued, I learned a lot more about my subject and was able to create an exceptional paper with the information I acquired. Of course, many parts of this paper were annoying and difficult, but the results were definitely worth all the work.
